This programme is coming to an end in March. Unfortunately, this means we are no longer able to accept referrals. Take a look at our page about menopause support for more ways you can get help.

Did you know...?

In one survey about menopause…

  • Over 90% of respondents felt that their menopausal or perimenopausal symptoms were having a negative impact on their work
  • Around half of respondents reported having time off work due to menopausal or perimenopausal symptoms, with 19% being absent for >8 weeks
  • Just over three-quarters of women reported that their workplaces offered no information or support regarding the menopause

HOW CAN BROOK HELP?

We know that stigma can be a huge barrier for those accessing reproductive healthcare, whatever their age and stage of life. That’s why we are delighted to have secured new funding from the Department of Health and Social Care Women’s Health and Wellbeing Fund to fight stigma and improve the lives of Cornwall residents experiencing menopause in the workplace.

Brook’s new Menopause Support Programme will empower women, and those experiencing menopause, to feel supported to remain in work or return to work.

The programme involves:

  • Tailored 1:1 support with people experiencing the menopause.
  • Practical support to local Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) to redevelop their policies and procedures so that they are inclusive of people experiencing the menopause.
  • FREE organisational training for all staff and leaders/managers.
